Working principle
The German MESA oxygen analyzer is a precision instrument that measures micro oxygen by extracting gas into a measurement chamber and then using a Lambda probe at a stable and controlled temperature. The analyzer consists of three parts: the measurement part (consisting of a Lambda probe and a heating and temperature control power supply), the atmosphere pretreatment part, and the output control part.
The ceramic part (solid electrolyte) of the Lambda probe is a closed pipeline at one end. The inner and outer surfaces of this ceramic part have a microporous platinum layer, and the catalytic effect of platinum can improve the performance of the probe. At the gas measurement site, there is a fixed porous ceramic layer on top of the platinum layer. This protective layer can prevent the corrosion of the catalytic platinum layer by the measured gas, ensuring the long-term stability of the sensor's performance. The active sensor ceramic (zirconia ZrO2) will be heated by an internal ceramic heater to maintain a constant temperature and no longer be related to the temperature of the measured gas itself. The PTC characteristic of ceramic heaters enables them to heat quickly and be limited to a fixed power.

Each lambda probe of MESA has its unique zero drift coefficient K1 and temperature compensation coefficient K2, which makes the measurement signal output by the intelligent power supply more accurate, without the need to calibrate it when installing or replacing the zirconia probe;

MESA's oxygen analyzer offers optional ranges and output types. The measurement results can also be connected to the upper computer through interfaces such as RS232/RS485 to achieve centralized control function.
